Mutle Mogase

Independent Non-Executive Director

Mutle started his financial career in internal audit, financial management and banking and co-founded a private equity firm in 1998 which evolved into Vantage Capital in 1999. Vantage Capital launched the first independent Mezzanine fund in South Africa.

Mutle is a co-founder and Executive Chairman of Maia Capital Debt Impact fund, which was launched in June 2020.

Mutle has held a number of directorships including the JP Morgan Advisory Board, the South African Post Office Pension Fund, the Chair of Investment Committee, Chair of Micro Finance Regulatory Council and Chair of African Bank Investments Limited.

He is currently the Chair of University of Cape Town Foundation (Endowment Fund) and the Founding President of the Investment Committee Member of Sentinel Retirement Fund: Founding President.

Mutle holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Town and completed the Executive Development Programme at the University of New York. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance at the Institute of Management Technology in Johannesburg
